One major area of responsibility is to assist in preparing clients to engage in the community through vocational services. Additional areas of responsibilities entail Evaluating and assessing incoming out-going clients Personal and Social Adjustment Training Work Adjustment Training Assist managing Job Coaches and PRN S for multiple counties Assist scheduling of PRN job coaches Supporting the General Manager QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 2 years or more current work experience with individuals 16 years of age and above with special needs Current special education pedagogies and up-to-date technology skills Effectively communicate interact with clients parents GVRA(Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Association)Staff as needed both orally and written Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Maintain records and prepare reports in a timely manner Savvy operating various software and hardware applications Aptitude to create evaluation and assessment tools Capacity to prioritize work and meet deadlines Learn apply and relay Blake s House of Independence Center and GVRA (Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Association) vision program rules regulations requirements and restrictions Learn the retail side of BHI Outlet i.e. inventory process customer care inventory software and storefront procedures Determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines Support General Manager as needed Work independently Bachelor or Master s Degree in counseling special education psychology and or social work required PREFERRED SKILLS 18 month plan prepared detailing licensure strategy is required Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required ADDITIONAL NOTES If not licensed as a counselor as part of the performance appraisal process candidate will provide licensure update plan status twice annually.
