We have a team of Superintendents who each hold an extremely efficient and knowledgeable work crew.Job summary Required to perform a variety of tasks including placing finishing protecting and repairing concrete.Skill Requirements Education Completion of high school Experience One year or moreLanguages Speak & Read English Weight Handling Up to 20 kg (40 lbs)Job Duties Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them Mix cement sand and water to produce concrete grout or slurry using hoe trowel tamper scraper or concrete-mixing machine Spread level and smooth concrete using rake shovel hand or power trowel hand or power screed and float Wet concrete surface and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish Chip scrape and grind high spots ridges and rough projections to finish concrete using pneumatic chisels power grinders or hand tools Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel long handled bull float or powered float Cut joints grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces Monitor the wind heat and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete.Additional Skills Must have good vision stamina good hand eye co-ordination and an ability to estimate size and dimensions Skill in smoothing finishing freshly placed concrete applying surface treatments and restoring concrete surfaces Required to perform task that include heavy lifting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling and reaching Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are cold dusty or dirty Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.Essential Skills Oral communication Working with others Problem solving Decision making Critical thinking Continuous learningHow to Apply Send your resume and cover letter by e-mail mbm.job.ads(at)gmail.com Please clearly indicate the position you are applying for We thank all applicants however only those to be considered for an interview will be contacted.
