Arnold Magnetic Technologies (Arnold) traces its roots back to the late 1800 s. Today we say Our World Touches Your World Everyday and if you have flown in a commercial or military aircraft made a photocopy or driven a car off-road vehicle tractor or other construction equipment chances are that an Arnold magnet or assembly was part of the many magnetic systems. Arnold Magnetic Technologies has full-time day and B-shift openings for the following positions in our Rochester location. GRINDER Set-up adjust and operate reciprocating or rotary wheel table-type surface grinders wheel-types. Mount holding fixtures use magnetic check or table to secure work and adjust machine to compensate for wheel wear and temperature changes. Work from part drawings specifications and grinding instructions. Installs proper oils and coolants. Change machine oils coolant and filters. GRINDER REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED. Five to ten years experience working as a Grinder. Must have ability to read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing familiar with using a scale square protractor micrometers indicators calipers be knowledgeable in or have practical experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC). ASSEMBLER Responsible for assembly of small medium or large complex parts fitting and or adjustment of interrelated parts and or assembly adjustment and or repair of sub-assemblies per process sheets. Assembly requires use of blueprints. ASSEMBLER REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED. Must have ability to read blue prints math aptitude and mechanical capabilities. MACHINIST SLICER Work with various metals plastics and composite materials and knows the correct speeds feeds and types of cutters to use. Proficient and creative in set-up and operation of drill presses vertical and horizontal mills engine and bench type lathes cut-off and band saws grinders machine accessories and attachments and all other shop related equipment that may be necessary to complete assigned tasks. MACHINIST SLICER REQUIRMENTS High school diploma or GED. At least five years experience working as a Machinist and or Slicer. Must have ability to read blueprints and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Must know how to use general measuring instruments (indicator micrometers calipers optical comparator gage blocks rules protractor and height gages).
