PowerGen Rental Sales Territory Manager

Cummins Pacific (CP) is looking for a talented sales person to sell Cummins Pacific s rental services and new Cummins portable rental generators by generating quotes and managing and developing accounts within an assigned territory or market. Designated Territory to include Northern San Bernardino Kern San Luis Obispo Inyo and Kings counties. Some tasks include 1. Develop and qualify prospective customers through sales leads business directories industry ads trade shows websites and other sources. 2. Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers. Overnight stays may be required. 3. Continuously update knowledge to be a product industry and compliance expert. 4. Continuously improve sales negotiation relationship-building and customer service skills. 5. Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into customer relationship management program. 6. Recommend product solutions that are best suited for customers needs. 7. Quote prices and credit terms and prepare rental and sales contracts for orders obtained. 8. Estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of Cummins production and delivery schedules. 9. Provide support to customers to maintain excellent customer satisfaction. 10. Investigate and resolve customer problems and complaints. 11. Prepare reports including but not limited to business transactions sales forecasts call reports win loss and keep expense accounts. Requirements At least 5 years of industry-related experience Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Must own or have use of a suitable registered insured vehicle to use for business purposes Acceptable driving record (no more than two points no DUIs) Physical Requirements Verbal communication with customers suppliers and co-workers over the phone and in person vision for driving using computer creating and reading documents handling paperwork telephone and other office equipment sitting at a desk walking throughout the facility and at customer work sites.
