Interstate Container is a manufacturer of corrugated boxes on Maryland s beautiful Eastern Shore offering excellent compensation and benefits. We are seeking experienced industrial mechanics to fill open positions on 1st and 2nd shifts. Focus on advance skills as well as the knowledge and concepts needed to maintain plant equipment at system level. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance functions required for plant equipment. Work in a safe efficient and effective manner to ensure the production of a quality product. Comply with all applicable plant and OSHA MOSH safety rules. Perform maintenance as needed on various machines equipment or systems. Maintain information for or input to the computer system in a timely manner. Make adjustments needed to ensure product being produced meets all quality standards. Report any inability to effect repairs or perform the job to which they have been assigned to the Maintenance Manager. Other duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and drawings. Troubleshoot and repair equipment. Must demonstate a thorough understanidng of the operation of all plant equipment. Must be able to complete all jobs assigned in a safe and efficient manner with minimual supervision. Must be able to confer with outside technical support and utilize that support in problem solving.
