The ideal candidate will possess a 2 year degree from a technical school with 0 to 2 years of industry experience. Minimum education required is a high school diploma with 2 years of industry experience. The Electronics Associate position requires an interest and ability to disassemble electronic products identify the components create a BOM (Bill of Materials) and provide a fundamental analysis of the device. An Electronics Associate in the teardown team has the following job responsibilities and requires multi-talented individuals with an interest in technology. The entry-level team member will expect to learn the following skill-sets within 1 year Primarily the job is to learn to create a complete and thorough data set typically in the form of bills of materials (BOMs) which is the keystone of all teardown analyses (Format Excel). Accurate BOM creation requires learning how to Accurately collect a great detail of data on electronic components from a number of sources including manufacturers websites datasheets press releases and various third-party data sources Learn and keep abreast of the basic electronic design architecture of electronic circuits of all kinds in preparation for functional area mapping (circuit design) analysis a higher level function within the team. Learn and keep abreast of the relevant and changing world of the electronics industry (brands and mergers etc.) as this affects the accuracy and credibility of client facing data. The Electronics Associate colleague will have their work thoroughly quality controlled and critiqued. They will be expected to learn and master the disassembly and photography process which is also an important part of client deliverables. In order to perform this portion of the job the right candidate must Learn to properly document through photos the disassembly process of all types of electronic hardware. Learn proper disassembly techniques so as not to damage all hardware so that further technical analysis can be performed after basic disassembly. Some employees at this level may learn to edit photos in Photoshop according to company guidelines and standards and May also learn to put together client-facing presentations of said hardware in Powerpoint (with basic annotation). Background Education Expected Tech school graduate preferable high school degree required. 1 2 years of industry experience preferable.
