Hello I offer beginner s Japanese lessons for those who want to stimulate their brains Learning a foreign language is a great way to keep your brain active and can lead to unique and fun opportunities. So do you want to travel abroad someday Maybe you enjoy manga or anime and want to learn a few things so you can better understand. Or possibly you want to learn something about a language and culture far different than ours. Whatever your reason I would love to meet you and teach you Japanese and about the Japanese culture. Qualifications I have a degree in Linguistics and have studied Japanese for over a decade. I also studied abroad there during college and upon graduation taught English for a year there. No I am not a native speaker but I can explain points about grammar to an English speaker in ways that a native Japanese speaker could not to better help you understand the language. I would much prefer to offer this as a group lesson (5-10 people) which would reduce the price for each student. I do not plan on starting lessons until the middle of January 2015.
