WANTED Description Seeking Medical Office Receptionist Front Desk help part-time Work Hours Monday Wednesday and Friday 09 00AM to 06 00PM Closed for lunch from 12 30 to 01 30 Preferred Bilingual Spanish Wages Wages based on experience 90 day probation period Skills Required Telephone etiquette customer service basic word and excel programs time management multitasking organization scheduling Requirements Minimum of six (6) month prior customer service reception front desk experience Word Processing Program Knowledge 40 ( ) words per minute (test to be given at time of interview) High School diploma or GED Ability to quickly learn new programs required for billing Ability to maintain medium to heavy phone contact with patients insurance companies and law offices Duties (WILL TRAIN ON THE JOB) Greeting welcoming and helping all patients and visitors with a friendly nature Optimize patient satisfaction provider time and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person over the phone and view e-mail Maintain cleanliness of reception area (including waiting room) hallway and all treatment rooms Maintain patient accounts by obtaining recording and updating personal financial and account information Register new patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting required detailed information Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating needed supplies placing and expediting orders for supplies verifying receipt of supplies Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information (including records) Maintain operations by following policies and procedures reporting needed changes Maintain handle and respond to mail phone faxes and e-mail messages requests and or demands Receive patient payment record them in a database and provide receipts (upon request) Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient arrival being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff The above list of duties is a general outline of what is to be expected.
