Location Dallas ISD - Graphics Department QUALIFICATIONS Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A equivalency) Six months of experience in bindery work preferred Ability to read interpret and follow instructions on a job ticket Knowledgeable with operating bindery machinery including folder stitcher cutter and shrink-wrap BASIC FUNCTIONS Perform duties as back-up operator of all machinery in the bindery area as needed Assist in necessary preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment Assist co-workers in various duties to complete jobs to meet required deadlines Prepare materials to be padded with liquid or glue compound Operate an electric jack and hand held jack to move finished jobs to proper locations Able to operate effectively in a cooperative team environment Wrap and boxes all orders and prepare proper paper work for routing to appropriate location for delivery Count addresses envelopes insert materials prepare shipping records for multiple distributions Route finished material to appropriate customer Record time on job tickets of operations functions and complete proper paper work Is actively cross-training and assisting in the operation of all machinery in the bindery area Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned Minimum 12.81 Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines.
