Essential Knowledge and Skills Ensure a safe environment during the de anti-icing operation and all company policies and procedures are being followed correctly. Uphold and follow the duties related to de anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlines and IDS (including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination). Participate in the pre-planning for the de anti-ice event (perform checks on equipment trucks servicing equipment with fuel or glycol). Ensure proper shutdown of pads including paperwork and log books that all maintenance issues have been logged and reported to maintenance and all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment are followed. Physical demands While performing duties of this job employee is occasionally required to stand walk sit use hands to handle or feel objects tools or controls reach with hands and arms speak clearly and hear efficiently. Employees must occasionally lift and or move up to or in excess of 50 pounds. Employees must have the ability to climb 15 foot heights for work. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is excessive at times. Education and Experience HS Diploma or Satisfactory completion of GED and professional experience Valid US driver s license. Successful completion of required airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required. Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de- anti-icing training. Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel).
