10 Week Dental Assistant Training Programs Program Description Our dental assistant program runs for 10 consecutive weeks on Saturdays only. Our next program will begin on November 15th 2014. The Program includes a book study format along with a large portion of the course being actual hands on training. After the training course each student will have the opportunity to do a 40 hour externship in a local dental office if desired. A certificate of completion will be issued at the end of each course along with an x-ray and coronal polishing certificate (back office).Our courses are certified through the Bureau of private post-secondary education State of California. Our training program focuses on the dental assisting skills and procedures you will utilize on a daily basis.After completing this training program you can begin a career in the dental field. You will be capable of preparing patients for treatment assisting the dentist during procedures charting taking x-rays sterilizing instruments providing oral hygiene instructions preparing dental filling materials taking impressions managing the front office treatment coordinating and much more.
