JANITOR CUSTODIAN REQUIREMENTS Bilingual is a Plus (English and Spanish) Must be able to communicate understand and follow given directions. Safely handle mix and use cleaning chemicals as well safely using power equipment in order to prevent any damage to floors fixtures furniture etc. Physical exertion requires standing for long periods of time walking bending and lifting up to 50lbs. Job requires the ability to maneuver power equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. You must have reliable transportation to drive to any assigned buildings. Also required is to have a working cell phone charged nightly. DAILY TASKS INCLUDE C Cleaning building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them. C Restroom (private office and public) servicing cleaning floor waxing window cleaning. C Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees. C Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. C Dust furniture walls machines and equipment. C C Gather and empty trash C Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions accordingly to meet given specifications. C Move heavy furniture equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks up to 50 lbs at a time. C Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. C Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions for cleaning equipment. C Request supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Availability Monday through Friday evenings (7pm to 5am) some weekends Employment is subject to successful background check.
