1700s Shillotte Picture from Pa.

This is a approx. 8 by 12 inch Picture Shillotte on rag paper. This was the method of producing paper untill the 1800s. If you do not see the different colored threads on one of the it is a fake. I picked this one up in the 80 s in Harrisburg Pa. Even then they were getting hard to find. It has had some frame tightening over the years and a glass installed . Yes they are rare now.
