Harris Academy of the Arts is accepting applications for Violin Instructor (1 Opening July 1) Teaching Levels Beginning through Early Advanced Teaching Styles Suzuki and Traditional Vocal Instructor (1 Opening May 1) Teaching Levels Beginning through Early Advanced Teaching Styles Classic training theatre popular etc. Guitar Instructor (1 Opening August 1) Teaching Levels Beginning through Early Advance Teaching Styles Acoustic Electric Bass Kindermusik Instructor (1 Opening May 1) Must be Licensed through the Kindermusik International Program Young Child Music Educator (1 Opening May 1) Teaching Levels Beginning through Mid Intermediate Teaching Styles Piano Voice Guitar Recorder Job Description Seeking dynamic motivated talented university trained educators to provide private and group music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. Applicants with strong skills in a secondary instrument (e.g. voice piano guitar wodwinds brass percussion etc.) will be given first consideration. Applicant must have a bachelor s degree in a music field and or equivalent experience. Preference of at least three (3) years music teaching experience individual should be resourceful and motivated to seek the necessary tools to support individualized student learning. Must possess the ability to instruct beginner to late early advanced students ages five (5) and up. Seeking individuals of integrity who are motivated talented and demonstrate excellence in communication with a positive reinforcing and compassionate style. Strong personality traits include professionalism exceptional communication skills caring and kind personality passion love of teaching and team player. Applicant must be looking for a dedicated career opportunity with intent to sustain and provide long term commitment to our professional and reputable academy. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check not having had any convictions for a crime other than minor traffic offenses. Salary Instructors are employees paid per lesson rather than a per hour basis with all instructors beginning at same pay rate. Pay raises are based upon quality job performance student retention and success in serving as a reputable sought after instructor. Dependent upon instrumental need our faculty are provided additional income opportunities to perform for professional performances (e.g. weddings corporate events parties funerals etc.). Benefit opportunities are provided to those instructors whom provide consistent 40 hours of weekly work. Hours Must provide at least 20 hours of availability (within contractual agreement guidelines). Our solid reputable faculty experience opportunity for up to 40 hours of work with student waiting lists. Overview Harris Academy of the Arts specializes in providing quality music education for a variety of instruments (piano guitar voice strings woodwinds brass percussion) with increased repertoire to include a variety of arts programs.
