SUMMARY The Hispanic Center of Western Michigan has retained Management Business Solutions (MBS) as a collaborative partner to manage the applicant screening process for the Executive Director. We have aligned our recruiting processes to identify attract and screen candidates. The Hispanic Center of Western Michigan a non-profit organization in Grand Rapids MI is looking for an Executive Director that is responsible for serving as the chief visionary to strategically position the organization in developing supporting and executing programs necessary to carry out its mission with and in the community. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Program Development Funding Build strategic collaborative relationships with funders and key stakeholders so that the mission of the center is considered a valuable resource by the West Michigan Community Work closely with program managers and key staff to ensure high quality services and programming is being delivered which include family case management immigration rights advocacy youth services language services family violence intervention adult education mental health services and outreach etc. Also responsible to help coordinate and manage all programming efforts for the center and assures their adequate funding Ensure Organization-wide awareness of and participation in revenue-generating activates as appropriate Seek and acquire program funding sources and opportunities seek out and acquire fiscally responsible fund development opportunities Maintain official records and documents and ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations and the guidelines of foundations and donors Management Operations Oversee and effectively manage an organizational structure that ensures strong internal cohesion management and leadership for the Center Lead the development of organizational planning strategy and goal setting for the short and long term outcomes of the organization Set clear goals for staff volunteers and external partners about the Center its work and its role in building community Support and assist the Board of Directors in their work to oversee govern and guide the overall direction of the Center and keep them informed on the condition of the organization and all important factors influencing it Provide leadership to assist with problem solving strategy and organizational development Empower diverse and multi-functional staff and volunteers across the organization Budget and Finance Manage an operational plan strategy and budget that support the work of the Center in a financially responsible manner Conduct a transparent budget and fiscal management process to ensure the financial health of the organization and the advancement of the Center s vision Work with the staff finance committee and the board in preparing a budget see that he organization operates within budget guidelines Ensure the organization completes the annual audit and all other reporting obligations in a timely and successful manner Community Advocacy Effectively support and champion the values goals and vision of the Center through advocacy and relationship building in the Latino and broader communities Represent the Center at the local state and national level through events that support the mission of the Center Advocate with elected officials community leaders and others for Latino rights and development Establish and sustain networks with government corporations peers community groups and organizations Represent the Center in the community and in media Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field and keep the board informed of such QUALIFICATIONS Master s degree OR 5 years of experience in management leadership roles Experience developing and managing a nonprofit budget exceeding 1M annually and the ability to understand financial statements Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to speak and write English and Spanish fluently Strong business and entrepreneurial acumen Ability to interface with people at all levels within the organization and community Demonstrated ability to strategize project plan organize prioritize multi-task and manage initiatives in a face pace environment Experience working with government agencies foundations and private donors Highly collaborative and embraces diversity inclusion and the belief in racial equity MANAGEMENT BUSINESS SOLUTIONS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
