This Internship position is part of Hunger Research and Innovation and focused on assisting the Executive Vice President with research networking video blogs and social media. If you are a graduate or undergraduate student seeking course credit or looking for a real-world experience in research and networking in a not-for-profit environment CWS is offering an internship opportunity. This position works primarily from the Church Center for the United Nations (CCUN) located at 777 First Avenue Room 9E East 44th Street New York NY 10017. Essential Duties The Intern is responsible for providing the CWS Executive Vice President with technical assistance in Strengthening CWS work around Food Malnutrition Hunger and Women Preparing materials related to United Nations and UN Mission meetings and briefings. Researching for news and resources for CWS blog for staff and partners. Analyzing data and preparing materials related to strategy meetings and networking events. Planning coordinating and conducting events such as interviews and focused group discussions. Preparing for Hunger Research and Innovation events from finding sponsors to assisting with video-blogs social media etc. Maintaining social media websites researching platforms that will assist us in interacting with and reaching out to artists and community leaders. Organizing the monthly innovation events in New York. Job Requirements Current post graduate or senior undergraduate students of political science international development international relations humanitarian aid or other related field in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Willingness to intern for at least a semester (2 semesters preferred). Proficiency in written and spoken English required. Knowledge of French a plus. Must possess high quality writing and editing skills. Proficient in MS Office MS Outlook and Internet applications preferably HTML and HTML-5. Interest in humanitarian aid NGO issues and international affairs. All interns must be willing to quickly and accurately obtain information and be professional in coordinating meetings with a wide range of people. Proficient with social media and other online communication tools. Must possess creativity (there is no box ) initiative and the ability to multi-task. Passion and commitment to the work of CWS is essential.
