Dispatcher We are currently recruiting a Dispatcher for our 20 year old transport company. We need a dependable and reliable dispatcher who will get us the best possible money per load and minimize wasted time fuel. This job is ideal for an expert dispatcher that can find profitable loads to keep us busy. Independent Dispatchers only no load brokers please. We currently run a small fleet of semis with dump beds and dump trucks. We are interested in running hot shot and OTR loads soon. If you are a highly motivated individual and want to grow with us we are the company for you. We have an opportunity for a Dispatcher who can coordinate logistics with our drivers and assist with the location of accounts. We offer the ability to pay you accordingly. This can be filled with an independent contractor. Your experience and skills - 3 years knowledge and experience with location of accounts and dispatch - Ability to locate and dispatch courier accounts a plus. - People skills are a must. - Sales experience is preferred. Cold sales experience is a plus. - Ability to assist in negotiations with clients estimate jobs and draft proposals. - Ability to prioritize work activities to meet deadlines. - Able to work independently and as part of a team. - Must be able to multitask. - Financial skills are necessary. - Must have GED or High School Diploma. College Degree is preferred. - Keen orientation to detail. - Excellent organization skills and logical thinking. - Strong phone verbal and written communications skills. - Strong computer skills with knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing. - Excellent follow through on daily tasks and projects. - Ability to work flexible schedule is a plus. - Knowledge of D.O.T. laws required. - Ability to create and distribute daily dispatch logs.
