Creates basic documentation Usually works under supervision of senior administrator or supervisor Familiar with most basic system administration tools and processes For example boot shutdown add or remove user accounts utilizes back-up procedures and can maintain system database files (groups hosts and aliases) Recent experience supporting UNIX operating systems high end desktop and server hardware and networking environments Demonstrated analytical skills for problem identification and problem resolution in support of UNIX operating systems (AIX IRIX Solaris) Understands and has experience in implementing Information Protection guidelines and practices in the UNIX technical computing environment Able to write scripts in some administrative language such as TK Perl or in a shell.
