This is an exempt position (which indicates that the position is exempt from overtime pay comp or personal time accrual). Regular hours are M-F 8 00-12 00 and 1 00-5 00pm According to OSU policy a 40-hour workweek is considered minimal for exempt staff and you are expected to work hours in excess of 40 hours per week when the work load requires additional hours (to include some early mornings evenings and or weekends) to check care for animals. Work in Oklahoma environment -- heat cold rain wind etc. Minimum qualifications Bachelor degree in animal science or related field and 1 year of experience in cattle management or related experience. Excellent computer skills recordkeeping skills and organizational skills. Must work well in a team environment in cooperation with other employees faculty and staff graduate and undergraduate students. Some heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds) required. Knowledge of beef cattle management and animal research. Artificial insemination experience for cattle is required. Computer-based data management is required.
