IT - Data Center Specialist

The person in this role is expected to rigorously follow accepted Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP). The person in this role will be responsible for Windows Server builds troubleshooting Windows servers network connections and SAN connections at the servers. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws corporate policies and procedures including Information Protection (IP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Adhere to the philosophy of Incident and Injury Free (IIF). Technical skills required for the position include Solid IT Troubleshooting Familiarity with servers - Virtual blade and physical Ability to install server Operating Systems - Windows Familiarity with network principles Able to perform server hardware troubleshooting task Able to perform network troubleshooting task Familiarity with enterprise storage arrays Fiber channel troubleshooting techniques Knowledge of IT power management principles Desired Skill Set and or Demonstrated Experience Inventory management asset tracking experience ITIL Fundamentals Customer relationship management Strong communication skills Basic network knowledge Data Center Facilities experience Other tasks responsibilities include but are not limited to the following Compliance with Incident Change Management processes and procedures including Completion of service requests Incident documentation to resolution of all work performed within the facility Creation of Change Request (CRQ) including planning scripting and implementation of changes in the data center environment Support of ITC Global Data Center Strategy including Maintaining implementing and testing data center Business Continuity Plans Support of DC Facilities evergreen compliance calendar Assisting IRM coordinator in creation of REMEDY CRQ and TASK Collection storage of compliance data from all ITC Global Data Centers Inventory Management of IT devices Deploy and maintain strong Operational Excellence (OE) processes to ensure consistent reliable operations and promote sharing of best practices throughout the division and across the IT Function Position may involve travel to other data centers (San Antonio New Orleans) May involve night and weekend availability for power outages and other changes issues in the data center as well as covering for the 2nd and 3rd shift crew as needed.
