Giving a hand up not a hand out

Hello. I am creating a local outreach called Spokane Street Outreach. Our goal is to help the less fortunate and homeless in our community. Not a handout but a hand up Unfortunately a lot of people have complaints about the state of the country with having homeless people while our government is helping other countries. Its time that we take a stand for ourselves and those in our community. Its time we stop expecting the government or anyone else to take care of us. We need to become the change we want to see the change we expect everyone else to complete. Lets start acting NOW. Lets start taking care of our people NOW. With the weather getting a bit nicer- warmer and not snowing- we are still wanting to reach out to those less fortunate in our community. We would like to have anyone who is willing join us also take part in this. Currently we are looking for any kind of donations of season appropriate clothing that you are not wanting any can goods non-perishable foods bottled water or first aid kits to help those in our community- who need a hand up and not a hand out.
