The CIO would be responsible for to direct plan organize and control all activates of the technology department. This includes proposing budgets for programs and projects purchases and upgrades equipment supervises computer specialists and IT workers and presides over IT-related projects. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide technological guidance within an organization Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals policies and procedures for the information technology department Consult with administration managers and representatives to exchange information present new approaches and to discuss equipment system changes Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer equipment and software purchased for the corporation Assess and communicate risks and opportunities associated with IT investments. Identify opportunities for appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources including staffing sourcing purchasing and in-house development. Approve prioritize and control projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection acquisition development and installation of major information systems. Provide oversight of hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts. QUALIFICATIONS BS degree in Computer Science and at least 7 years work experience in all phases of computer operations Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management. Proven experience in IT planning organization and development.
