Plant Process Engineer

Manage on site construction projects for various process lines plant and capitol projects. Developand implement automated controls systems in a manufacturing enviorment. Includes PLC and HMI programming SCADA systems support communications network support and development of PFD s and P& ID s. This also includes instrumentation selection procurement installation and support. Responsible for in house electricians welders fitters and technicians. The positons requires experience with production equipment and layout of Process lines. Should be familiar with food process systems and utilities such as chillers boilers compressors and liquid handling equipment such as pumps and valves. Have experience with managing equipment installation and building construction. Should also be familiar with Food Processing and general sanitary design concepts as well as Good Manufacturing Practices. Job Responsibilities Programming PLC s HMI s PC Based Control Logic Scanners weights and measurement systems. Developing PFD s and P& ID s. Track and maintain project budgets and timelines. Oversee project through completion ensuring both system function and safety code standards are met. Select and manage equipment suppliers and vendors. Coordinate critical spare parts inventory and ordering. Review ergonomics safety requirements and sanitation GMP food safety aspects of installed equipment. Develop and enforce safe work practices including lockout tagout and other programs as needed. Communicate with internal customers to obtian unput and discuss plans. Indentify and implement projects to save cost and grow the business. Provide Process Engineering support for all plant processes. Assist technical and production managers in resolving non-maintenance realted quality issues and or product losses. Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering flied (Chemical Mechanical or Electrical) 5 years experience in process or project engineering in food manufactoring Understands principals of HACCP and SOP s. Experienced with Best Practice and GMP Knowledge of applicable USDA FDA EPA OSHA regulations Experience with food products fluid products and controls systems Experience with utilities such as Coolers Chillers Pumps and Boilers Strong project management skills Salary range 80 000 based on experience
