Quality Engineer

Great company in Greenville SC seeking a Quality Engineer. This position will monitor analyze and implement strategic plans for quality controls of the organization. Will work closely with Quality Inspectors Engineering Manager Process Techs Manufacturing Managers R& D and all Management personnel. Will oversee 22 direct reports that include Quality Auditors Post Mold Auditors (22 Hourly Employees). PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Direct daily functions of shift quality auditors. Facilitate weekly meetings with all auditors and establish quality expectations. Manage all quality inspection labor and make sure jobs are covered by qualified employees. Establish and maintain all auditor skill levels and communicate changes to procedures daily. Facilitate the maintenance of all quality data retrieval systems. Monitor and develop quality standards that benefit the company s and customer s best interest. Implement quality testing procedures that benefit the company s and customer s best interest. Evaluate and determine quality rating of products daily. Assist and facilitate in product deviations. Facilitate all Distribution Center Boat Dock Audits weekly. Communicate train coach operations on processes to help ensure a good quality product Provide engineering support for all Quality related issues. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum AA Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology. 2-4 years of quality experience in manufacturing Good written and oral communication skills Good basic math skills Working knowledge of MSOffice related software (Word Excel etc) Ability to use small hand tools and take measurements Ability to manage others and get projects completed through others Attention to detail Quality conscience and ability to make good judgment calls ISO (auditing record keeping) - desired Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting - desired Technical writing - desired Project management - desired Lean Six sigma training - desired
