A Service Technician must be able to properly dismount mount balance and repair Commercial Vehicle and Medium Truck tires for the purpose of adding value to customers and providing additional revenue to BestDrive. Care of Continental property such as service trucks and service equipment is required.The Retread Technician must be able to inspect tires analyze and take recommended steps to properly repair or rebuild PLT and Medium Truck tires for the purpose of adding value to customers and providing additional revenue to BestDrive. Care of Continental property such as service trucks and service equipment is required. Inspect casings using the tools procedures methods and work instructions established by Conti. Runs casings through the shearography machine analyzes the results and grades the casing. Buff the remaining tread of the casings using the tools procedures methods and work instructions established by Conti. Make the application of the tread on the prepared casing using the tools procedures methods and work instructions established by Conti. Places the casing in the envelope (envelope) installs the inner envelope and ensures an airtight seal for curing. Vacuum tests the envelope to ensure that the package sealed Repair injuries to the casings using the tools procedures methods and work instructions established by Conti. Loads the curing chamber and sets the proper curing parameters for the load. Properly use jacks and safety procedures to securely lift vehicle. Mount and Dismount CVT PLT and SVT tires. Install tire wheel assembly following RIST procedures. Perform Emergency Road Service calls as required. Understand and safely operate a mobile service truck with air compressor and air tools. Loading and unloading casings and finished products. Communicate with Service Manager for completion of desired service tasks. Complete and deliver necessary paperwork legibly. Ensure you provide world class customer service. Work safely and report any injury immediately to Management HR Other duties include pick up delivery of tires. Safely operate forklift. Pre and post trip vehicle inspections.Assist in all assigned duties. Other duties include pick up delivery of tires helping others as required.
