Heavy Highway Construction Foreman

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)supervise coordinate and oversee construction projects and jobsite work crew. Plan and organize workload and staff assignments train motivate and evaluate assigned staff review progress and direct changes as needed. Assure that job remains within budget. Assists in the interviewing and hiring of employees. Prepares and maintains daily monthly and annual reports and records as assigned. Ensues that all equipment and tools are operated in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury property damage or loss of life. May operate a variety of equipment such as dump trucks front-end loaders dozers backhoe graders compactors etc. in the performance of construction maintenance repair and replacement of streets roads sidewalks rights of way and parking lots removal and disposal of trees and other debris in jobsite preparation excavation and grading and importing and exporting construction material such as soil asphalt and concrete. Performs daily safety and maintenance checks on all equipment. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or the equivalent Valid NC Driver s License with acceptable driving record for past three years Working experience operating heavy equipment.
