Description of Work Develops time-critical documents in a fast-paced environment Gathers technical information by interviewing subject matter experts reviewing existing documents and hands-on testing of components Writes consistent clear documentation that presents complex information simply and accurately Works with others to develop documentation and communications Performs organization layout and production of technical manuals procedural manuals brochures etc. (hard copy and electronic) Manages multiple projects simultaneously Performs organization layout and production of technical manuals procedure manuals brochures etc. (hard copy and electronic) Excellent English skills - grammar spelling sentence structure etc. Excellent technical writing skills and the ability to quickly become familiar with technology concepts Ability to independently manage time and publishing projects Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously High level of initiative Excellent communication and organizational skills Highly computer literate in Microsoft graphical and online products Ability to learn new tools and technology quickly Expertise with training materials full-production documents and oversight of documentation efforts Able to work under very tight deadlines Review revise and write accompanying instructions for approximately 50 learning management system (LMS) business processes (Example Add Create an Item). The audience for these business processes will be Learning Management System administrators. Develop an LMS standards and guidelines (policies) manual (examples format for an LMS course title standards for delivering eLearning content for publishing standards for content that should be included in an LMS). Develop detailed step-by-step instructions for IT support personal to manage technical LMS tasks (example executing LMS data connectors). Develop forms templates and instructions for LMS administrators to request services from LMS central support (example execute a report for my team create a new course create a new curricula). Skills and Qualifications At least 5 years experience in IT technical writing. Educational background in English or Communications preferred. Expertise in MS Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills able to work with a diverse and dynamic fast-moving team. Experience working as a contributor in SharePoint (publishing documents checking out and in version control editing sharing links etc.) Working knowledge of learning management systems administration desired knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors Learning module (formerly Plateau) a plus.
