If you love dogs and have had big beautiful and strong dogs before you might be a great candidate to provide a home for one of the puppies my baby girl had. They are only 4 weeks old now and they have to be with momma until they are 8 weeks old but I would like to find homes for the ones that are not spoken for soon. They are magnificent and deserve the best care so I will be really picky about where they end up. If you feel you could be a good match for one of these very special pups then contact me by cell or email and I will reply as soon as I can. They will have there needed shots at 6 weeks of age and if I have any that are not spoken for at 9 weeks of age they will have the next round of shots. They have and only will be fed healthy food and will expect any prospective owner to know about what food is good.They are beautiful companion dogs that will not only be an asset to your homebut a friend guardian babysitter and all around family member. The dogs will be welltempered and socialized and potty trained or almost done being potty trained.Temperament etc Akitas have a strong hunting instinct and are calm spontaneous and intelligent making good watchdogs. They are quiet and dignified with great power and attentiveness. Akitas are noble and kind making excellent companions. They are generally obedient but sometimes will not perform a task if it is not rewarding or if they feel it is not needed. Barking is infrequent however they tend to make a mess when drinking. The Akita is brave and smart and requires a lot of human companionship. Akitas should be allowed to live indoors They get along with children that they are raised with and will tolerate others but should always be supervised like any large breed. The Akita is not fond of strangers. Helen Keller s guide dog was the first Akita to arrive in the United States. The Akita grew in popularity in America after World War II when many soldiers returned home from Japan with them. Today they are popular American pets and serve as guard and police dogs in Japan. The world s most famous Akita Hachiko greeted his owner at a train station after work every day. After his owner s death Hachiko continued to faithfully visit the train station every day to wait for his owner until he died nine years later. Today a statue of Hachiko stands at the train station and an annual ceremony is held in his honor. The Akita has a shoulder height of 61-71 cm (24-28 in) and weighs 35-50 kg (75-120 lbs). Akitas have small triangular shaped eyes flat skulls and a level back. Their ears are small angled and erect. The Akita has a large full curly tail which dips above or below the back. Akitas have webbed feet which make them effective swimmers.
