The Y is seeking qualified candidates 3 teacher positions 1- Full-time Floater Toddler Teacher position who will assist the center with teacher s breaks and take over classrooms on occasion and 2 - Toddler Preschool Teachers in the Child Development Center. Part-time hours are available. When necessary the Floater teacher will work in different classrooms following the set daily routine curriculum and child supervision. The Floater teacher will also assist with the front desk answering phones assuring all students are signed in out properly and addressing parent s questions and needs. These positions are also responsible for supervision and care of children in the Toddler Preschool program and working with the team of teachers in general supervision and management of a class of toddler preschool aged children. Staff must be committed to providing a quality experience to children and parents that is in accordance with the association s policies and procedures that focus on the YMCA values honesty respect responsibility and caring. Candidate must have the ability to work with children as young as 6 weeks to 5 years of age a minimum of 6 ECE Units with a C grade or better be 18 years of age possess current CPR First Aid and AED certifications have an up-to-date TB test have current Livescan that is active on file with DPSS previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age and experience working with diverse populations. Employees must be physically able lift push pull and move up to 60 pounds. Employees must be physically able to stoop bend kneel crouch talk hear stand walk sit and reach with hands and arms. All Y staff are background checked for Criminal and Sexual Offender clearance. All Y staff must complete the Safety and Child Abuse Awareness Training courses as assigned by the association.
