We are looking for a qualified Multi-Trades Technician to start working for our client ASAP Summary The ideal candidate will ensure a safe workplace by promoting safe work practices. Key responsibilities include general maintenance servicing installation of industrial equipment and installation maintenance troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems. In addition must possess a sound working knowledge of electric and gas welding rigging pipe-fitting heavy and light machinery repair pumps gearboxes motors conveying equipment electrical controls and power circuits. Job Description -Responsible in general for the starting stopping and uninterrupted performance of all mechanical & electrical equipment throughout the working shift including preventative and predictive maintenance. -Answers mechanical & electrical trouble calls & makes repairs as quickly & safely as possible using both electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify the defective component. -Works from blueprints schematics diagrams charts sketches & verbal instructions to plan install assemble fabricate lubricate test adjust inspect dismantle change-over repair & maintain the plants mechanical electrical equipment to fabricates both electrical and mechanical components. -Uses blueprints & schematics to rapidly troubleshoot and repair electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. -Troubleshoots and repairs equipment working without blueprints or schematics when they do not exist. -Must be able to improvise safe repairs when the exact replacement parts are not available. -Knows and uses correct rigging techniques including hard signals for boom and overhead traveling cranes. Requirements -At least 1-2 years of experience doing similar work. -Knowledge of best safety practices.
