We also perform commercial inspections of retailers on behalf of major bankcard companies.The Work You will be assigned a list of houses to drive-by fill out a short visual inspection report take photos of the property from your car and submit your inspection reports and photos via the Internet. Occasionally you will complete an interior inspection on vacant houses as well as perform insurance inspections to photograph insurance claim repairs. You may also be called upon by Visa MasterCard to verify that a merchant is a valid business and take pictures of his business location prior to that merchant being approved to accept customer bankcard purchases. We also take photos of house repairs completed as a result of insurance claims.Equipment required Digital camera GPS navigation unit computer printer Internet Email access cell phone and a car.Skills required If you would like to choose when you work get out of the house without tied to an office be your own boss and enjoy driving in the city and country then this may be for you. If you are detail-oriented and have basic computer skills then you may have what it takes to be real estate field inspector.Compensation You should be able to complete 4 to 8 drive-by inspections per hour. Your inspection volume will be based on the number of zip codes you request. You ll earn 4 per exterior inspection 6 per for interior inspections 10 for insurance inspections and 20 per inspection for placing for sale foreclosure signs. Bankcard merchant inspections pay 20 each. (You would generally have up to 7 days to 14 days to complete and submit each inspection.) You would be a 1099 contractor covering your own expenses and be able to write off 57 cents per mile from your taxes. Every two weeks you ll be paid for the inspections you ve submitted.Training Your field training manual is provided at no cost to you.
