Registered Nurse

Supervising Nurse must possess leadership abilities and the willingness to cooperate with the other department directors. Must be able to correlate nursing services with the other resident care services (i.e. physician all therapies dietary etc.) Must assist in planning organizing and directing nursing services. Control and evaluate nursing services in order to meet the total nursing needs of the resident and maintain a quality of services that will fulfill the objective of the nursing facility and be in accordance with the policies set forth by the nursing facility. Monitors the hands on care delivery of residents each tour of duty. Identifies and intervenes to solve problems related to residents and family concerns. Provides staff counseling and support in conjunction with Charge Nurses to solve problems and all concerns. Keeps the Director of Nursing informed of the day-to-day issues and activities. Consults with the Director of Nursing prior to instituting any changes.
