ML Building Supply Ltd. is an importer and wholesaler of a variety of high quality aluminum products and metal building materials for the commercial and residential constructional industry. Our company was established in October 2011 and is located in Burnaby BC Canada. Currently we are seeking a Procurement Officer with quality expertise to join our team. The Procurement Officer will coordinate the sourcing and purchasing activities and to insure proper inventory levels service levels cost management quality timely delivery and production of a variety of items.Responsibilities - Sourcing of aluminum commodity and related products for the company- Assess requirement details from customers and develop specifications and determine quantity and type of commodity to purchase- Identify and assess suppliers qualification determine their capabilities- Study market reports and source negotiate and develop new vendor relations- Establish and maintain contact with vendors- Obtain products information and negotiate best value prices and delivery arrangements with vendors- Provide quality control on the delivered products to assure quality standard is met- Develop quality assurance procedures and programs for procurement of materials- Discuss defective or unacceptable products with senior management and related vendors- Analyze and establish proper inventory levelsRequirements - Minimum of 5 years working experience- Bachelors Degree in related field- In-depth knowledge in quality system and the physicochemical properties of the materials- Expertise in material quality assurance procedures and the use of different methods (radiographic ultrasound penetration and magnetic particle testing surface inspection etc.) is an asset- Ability to manage priorities and with minimal supervision- Effective interpersonal written and verbal communication skillsSalary 30 hour 40 hours weekTo apply for this position please email your resume to mlbuildinghr(at)outlook.comWe thank all applicants for their interest however only those under consideration will be contacted.
