Responsibilities include As a member of the Americas Procurement team the Manager of Procure to Pay provides expertise and support to properties based in the Americas utilizing HotShop Marriott s procure to pay system. This role will support hotels that are already using HotShop while also acting as an on-site subject matter expert in the deployment and optimization of the system. This Associate works as part of an operations support team and with a high degree of independence. The Manager has broad knowledge and understanding of the procure to pay eProcurement platforms (to include inventory point of sale and recipe costing) finance policies and procedures and business applications along with procurement compliance objectives. The position will report to the Senior Manager Procure to Pay MIP Americas. EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Serve as subject matter expert for Marriott s eProcurement inventory solution (HotShop) Conducts on site property support visits to all hotels implementing HotShop. Focus is on providing training and support on the full end-to-end procurement process from initial purchase to payment. Addresses user questions and provides training on all HotShop procedures and policies related to eProcurement Inventory Point-of-Sale and Recipe Costing. Identifies training opportunities or updates. Partners with the HotShop team to deliver training webinars and in-market support. Creates job aids and training materials on HotShop processes best practices and FAQs. Process and resolve ServiceNow tickets in a timely manner. Meets regularly with BirchStreet to understand key issues and provide training and support. Reviews HotShop KPIs for implementation and sustainment. Provides recommendations observations and best practices for continuous improvement. Analyzes property procurement data to identifying solutions and best practices to drive compliance policy and procurement savings Conducts eProcurement audits. Researches and troubleshoots opportunities and develops action plans to improve performance. Collaborates with HotShop Americas team and provides consultative support to other continents Drive alignment to finance policies and procedures provide support to hotel and area finance teams and resolve conflicts and questions as and when they arise. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to enable teaching and scaling of procure to pay Partners with stakeholders when new projects or initiatives are launched that impact eProcurement processes or tools. Performs a high level of business ethic for himself herself and the entire team and fully respects the Company SOP s Supplier Diversity to be implemented wherever applicable Supports development and roll out of Green initiatives and ensures proper communication to business functions Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs CANDIDATE PROFILE Education Certifications and other Requirements 2-3 years of experience working with an eProcurement system to include Inventory 4-year bachelor s degree from an accredited university preferred and or mix of education and experience Previous experience with a purchasing and inventory system (i.e. BirchStreet Materials Control Adaco etc.) Ability to travel 50% to 60% each month during HotShop implementation Sustainment travel expectation is 25% Bilingual is a plus English and Spanish Experience Demonstrated experience managing inventory operations including responsibility for the flow of merchandise from purchase to receipt to storage to distribution to outlets. Knowledge of purchasing and store room policies and procedures best practices Experience extending inventory values to prepare monthly adjustments and journal entries Global mindset able to work with diverse stakeholders enterprise-wide with focus on developing and integrating best practices across all brands & businesses Ability to communicate important finance information effectively with non-finance managers Knowledge of procurement operating procedures controls and governances Ability to communicate important technical information effectively with non-technology managers Effective verbal and written communications to interface well with properties Finance teams BirchStreet Systems Procurement and suppliers. Familiarity with purchasing procurement and finance processes and associated systems. Data analysis and manipulation skills critical thinking and ability to work with data sets from multiple support ticket tracking tools Demonstrated customer support experience including issue research and resolution.
