Certified Tumor Registrar Job Requirements Certified Tumor Registrar certification is required Associate or Bachelor s degree science emphasis is strongly preferred or commensurate healthcare experience preferred 3 to 5 Years working in a cancer registry is preferred experience working in a hospital cancer registry that is CoC & NAPBC accredited is required. Certified Tumor Registrar Job Responsibilities Manage all aspects of Cancer Conferences for the Cancer Program Perform all duties in the Survivorship Care Plan Process Guide that are designated as the in house CTR s responsibilities. Assist with Breast Program Leadership & Cancer Committee meetings including the following a. Work with Director of the Cancer Program to prepare the agenda b. Work with Director of the Cancer Program to prepare the power point presentation & any packets needed for the meeting c. Send out meeting reminders to the committee members the week of the meeting d. Set up all items for the meetings including computer projector & power point presentation the day of the meeting e. Record minutes during the meeting f. Type up minutes from the meeting & send to the Director of the Cancer Program for review no later than 3 weeks from the meeting g. At the request of the Director of the Cancer Program obtain any reports or data that is needed for the meeting Maintain Cancer Registry QA at minimum within 3 months from the month the case was abstracted. Meet with the designated physician to ensure that he she is completing the QA process and to answer any questions the physician may have. Obtain treatment and follow up information from the appropriate external facilities for the Cancer Registry on a monthly basis. Provide this information to the remote CTR for input into the Cancer Registry if needed.
