The Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University seeks applicants for the position of Graphic Designer. Create design draft and prepare publications communications for the Spears School of Business and the OSU Center for Executive and Professional Development (CEPD). Publications will relate to promotion of public programs and items associated with the promotion of CEPD programs. Nearly 300 programs are presented annually and publications are associated with many of these programs. Approve and submit final publications to various OSU-approved printers. Photograph and videotape events interviews b-roll and other projects as assigned in order to effectively communicate the Spears School s mission. Assist with development of press releases PowerPoint slides award applications promotional items social media strategies and other assigned duties to promote the Spears School. Develop ideas and plan in cooperation with Marketing Manager CEPD director managers coordinators and others e-mail marketing concepts in regard to promotion of CEPD programs. Minimum qualifications Bachelor s degree in Journalism Graphic Design Marketing Public Relations Communications or related field and 1 year of related work experience (or Two years post-secondary education in journalism graphic design marketing public relations or communications and two-year work-related experience). Should exhibit initiative to develop and complete projects and be able to work with others internally (department college) and external customers in business industry and government. Must have proven ability to deal with multiple ongoing projects simultaneously. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills show diplomacy in working with a variety of people graphic arts skills and the ability to conceive design implement and complete a sophisticated communication strategy. Must have effective communication and interpersonal relations independent judgment discretion in handling confidential matters ability to work under pressure of deadlines and be sensitive to OSU and the SSB image. Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver Photoshop InDesign Illustrator and or Flash) and Microsoft Office and should be comfortable using both Windows and Macintosh operating platforms. Must have experience preparing files and materials for multiple applications (print video and web). Must have working knowledge and proven ability to utilize design and advertising principles concepts. Must have experience and skill in both AP style writing and marketing writing. Also experience with broadcast-quality ENG gear including camera light kit etc. and experience with DSLR photography equipment and lighting techniques. Must be proficient with video-editing software including Final Cut Pro. Must have ability to multi-task communicate effectively and work with numerous stakeholders. Must have ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. Proven experience working with a variety of audiences to ensure proper image mission and ideals of organization are met and exceeded through all internal and external communication mediums.
