Materials Manager

Our client a large growing manufacturing company located near Salem MA is seeking a Materials Manager to organize plan and direct the procurement of materials and services. Responsible for providing leadership coaching and direction to the materials and logistics teams. Oversight of the daily material processes ensure the supply of inventory required for manufacturing to meet daily customer demand is met. Develop and implement strategies directed at achieving Increased DPO Inventory Optimization Purchase Price Variance Material Planning and Supplier Relationships. Perform data analytics management materials metrics and lead procurement related meetings Must have experience in Lean Kanban continuous improvement initiatives with an emphasis on providing a high value of return. Must also have experience with ERP systems data analysis MS Office and MRP. Outstanding communication negotiation problem solving project management and leadership skills are required. Bachelor s degree and a minimum of five years experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment - procurement inventory management or operations with a solid understanding of manufacturing (fabrication heat treating machining electronics) processes and techniques. APICS certification is a plus. Some travel required. Competitive salary and benefits package. Local candidates are preferred.
