Lab Technician

Lab Technician An international manufacturer of dyes pigments and specialty chemicals seeks a hard-working detail-oriented individual to work as a Lab Technician in a fast-paced growing organization. This individual will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist chemists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids and liquids materials for purposes such as research and development of new products or processes quality control and preparation of materials and chemicals for future requirements. Tasks Monitor product quality to ensure compliance to standards and specifications. Set up and conduct chemical experiments tests and analyses using spectrophotometer and other equipment. Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to assist scientists in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of dyes pigments and chemicals. Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses. Provide technical support and assistance to chemists and engineers. Prepare chemical solutions for products and processes following standardized formulas. Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of raw materials chemical intermediates and products. Maintain clean and sterilize laboratory instruments and equipment. Maintain logs of incoming vendor and customer samples. Write technical reports or prepare graphs and charts to document experimental results. Organize and file tested samples and reports. Certificate of Analysis preparation. Leather applications All other needs as required Minimum Qualifications 2-4 years College degree in Chemistry Quality Assurance or equivalent education required. 1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment in a laboratory setting. Familiarity with chemical lab testing equipment preferred.
