2014 SUMMER SOLSTICE SESSHIN JUNE 18 JUNE 22 2014 St. Raphaela Center 616 Coopertown Road Haverford PA 19041 Join Sensei Jules Shuzen Harris and Sensei Bruce Seiryu Blackman for residential Zen practice at St. Raphaela Center. This retreat is an opportunity to return to ourselves to listen to the silence and to savor quiet natural surroundings. Characterized by silence and deep introspection sesshin is recommended to anyone who is sincerely interested in experiencing intensive Zen training. We wake up each day before dawn to begin a schedule that includes 7 to 10 hours of zazen chanting private interviews and dharma talks. Sesshin is an opportunity to receive personal guidance in private interviews with Senseis Shuzen and Seiryu to draw from the tremendous strength of people practicing togethe and to experience the deep stillness that lies within each one of us. Non-Members By June 4th 500 for full retreat or 150 per night. Your registration and full payment must be received no later than June 4th. After June 4th 600 for full retreat or 175 per night. Single rooms are available for members and non-members for an additional 100. Daily Commuters (Members and Non-Members) By June 4th Wednesday and Sunday 75 per day (Includes dinner on Wednesday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday). Thursday Friday and Saturday 100 per day (Includes 3 meals per day). After June 4th Wednesday and Sunday 90 per day (includes dinner on Wednesday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday). Thursday Friday Saturday 125 per day (includes 3 meals per day). Registration Required. To register download a registration form and either mail it or drop it off with your deposit.
