Responsibilities include ABOUT OUR TEAM The Director Global HR Communications is a member of the Employer Brand and Communications (EBC) team. Simply put EBC is a brand marketing and communications team working on behalf of the Human Resources discipline using engagement strategies communications practices digital strategy and creative solutions to help the business engage with associates and potential talent around the world. ABOUT THE ROLE This position is temporary for a period of 24 to 36 months. The Director Global HR Communications will be a key contributor to a dedicated project team comprised of change management learning and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) responsible for redesigning and deploying a new global Workforce Management Platform. A significant change to the way we operate this is the next step in fulfilling Marriott s vision of a single integrated Workforce Management Platform and includes the implementation of cloud-based Human Capital Management and payroll applications as well as the replacement of the U.S. based Payroll System. As the communications lead you will be responsible for the design development and execution of a global multi-phased communications and engagement strategy engaging and educating 700 000 associates around the world. Interested candidates will take on a project assignment to support this priority initiative for approximately 24 months. The exposure you will gain from the people to the tools will set you up to compete for a variety of roles across the organization at the conclusion of the project assignment. As a member of the project team you will be working with a diverse group of stakeholders and supporting the technology of the future for Global HR. The new Workforce Management Platform will impact associates globally and the journey will be both challenging and rewarding. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Design develop and execute a multi-faceted integrated communications and engagement strategy to support the successful deployment and adoption of our new Workforce Management Platform one that supports the full life-cycle of a change initiative from stakeholder awareness and sponsorship to implementation to sustainment. Manage a small team of communications professionals creating an engaging team-first environment where individual contributors feel empowered hold themselves to a high standard operate in a team-first environment deliver high-caliber products exceed the needs of internal clients succeed in a fast-paced environment and feel rewarded for high performance. Influence senior level clients and stakeholders across the business and world partnering to understand specific business needs and creating solutions. RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT Develop and manage strategic and trusted relationships with key internal clients and stakeholders across the discipline and business (e.g. senior leaders subject matter experts continent teams) to create a positive and successful working model. Collaborate daily with Change Management Learning Development Project Managers and Functional and Technical teams to develop and execute a multi-faceted integrated well-sequenced digestible communications and engagement approach. COMMUNICATIONS DELIVERY You will be responsible for developing and executing a global multi-faceted communications and engagement strategy for Marriott International s new Global Workforce Management Platform including Lead the design development and execution of a multi-faceted integrated communications approach that engages educates and motivates stakeholders around the world. Lead the development and day-to-day pull through of a holistic compelling story. Manage the development of creative materials in partnership with vendors to include graphics video digital design print materials and more. Develop and influence communication products that pull through a holistic informative and compelling story including but not limited to presentations emails newsletters blog posts intranet content postcards home mailers text campaigns digital content and more. Lead and execute webinar and other virtual events. Oversee all copywriting editing and reviews of messaging. Oversee the development and distribution of all communications across a diverse set of global and local channels. Lead the ideation and implementation of associate engagement campaigns to ensure stakeholders are knowledgeable prepared and motivated for the changes and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful. Represent the work commitment and communications tactics in the global quarterly planning process on behalf of the business. Identify and resolve risks and provide timely updates to project teams and leadership. Facilitate meetings reviews and collaborative sessions to partner across the organization to produce effective results. Receive feedback and make smart decisions to deliver high-quality products. Measure the effectiveness of communications and engagement approach and tactics and pivot as needed to ensure high impact.
