Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center located at 1501 Gaylord Trail Grapevine TX 76051 is currently hiring a Special Events Manager Responsibilities include Maximum of ten responsibilities in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. Manage all operational and production aspects of hotel events as assigned throughout the property to include open close of all daily events employee scheduling administering cash handling procedures if applicable and determining security needs. Lead all employees needed for event production and operation. Duties may include hiring coaching training and conducting performance appraisals. Research events and exhibits for creation of theme weekend events or annual seasonal events that drive leisure bookings in need periods of the year. Provide event and exhibit information to Director to determine feasibility. Coordinate sales efforts with all departments to maximize revenue opportunities. Prepare re sume and sign package as needed for group and act as liaison to all departments that may be involved in the Special Event or Leisure Experience. Work with the group leader to ensure all aspects of their experience are well taken care from time of booking planning arrival events room stays food & beverage all activities and follow up. Serve as a liaison between multiple vendors and clients of events and exhibits to enhance relationships increase revenues and promote the property.
