Experienced Mechanic Technician Salary Range Negotiable Benefits Competitive wages excellent benefits Employment Type Full Time Description Immediate opportunity for an EXPERIENCED engine and bumper-to-bumper technician in our Columbia South Carolinalocation. Candidates with experience on Detroit Diesel engines and or bumper-to-bumper repairs for on highway trucks preferred. Technician will repair overhaul and maintain diesel engines and or related equipment used in the operation of trucks. Candidate must have own tools and reliable transportation. Duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following - other duties may be assigned. Performs accurate failure analysis and troubleshooting using sophisticated electronic diagnostic tools. Creates job repair plan based on diagnosis. Determines parts requirements to complete repair. Performs authorized repairs as assigned. Maintains own tool inventory adequate to perform assigned repairs. Develops accurate records of repairs performed and parts used to assist in the proper filing of warranty claims and or customer invoices. Follows all safety and EPA regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty as listed in the job description satisfactorily. MINIMUM EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school or one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
