As a member of the DataScope Select development team design and implement back end server solutions for the DataScope Select application. Essential Responsibilities Advanced level development using C C Python Unix (Solaris) database (Sybase SQL Server) web services message queuing object-oriented design and various securities APIs to create high performance server software for delivering timely securities information to customers. Minimum of 5 years experience overall. Includes developing expertise in an area of the code and providing information to others on the functionality. Requires the ability to plan and ensure work gets completed with limited oversight. Required Skills and Experience Minimum experience - 5 years Unix C C Database Technical and or Functional skills Unix C C Python Database Mercurial Understanding of software debugging tools able to diagnose problems based on core files or examination of a running process Understanding of profiling tools examining a running system and the ability to determine pain points latency runaway code or resource limits Professional licenses if any - none Other skills and abilities good communication skills comfortable in an open communication environment team experience strong work ethic resourceful self motivating. Desired Skills and Experience Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware a plus.Experience with financial services a plus.
