2008 KZ Escalade 36SKB 38 5th Wheel with all the bells and whistles.-5th Airborne air ride pin box acts as a ride vibration buffer between truck and trailer when hauling-Double Stack Norcold 1200 series refridgerator with ice maker usually only seen in large diesel pusher motorhomes-double electric awnings on passenger side slideout awnings on all slides.-Spendide double stack full size washer and dryer units- 3 slides-Form fit trailer coverMy name is Jay and while my main focus is as an RV technician I do sometimes help people sell their rigs. I am acting as the owner s representative advertising and showing this rig and if you decide you want it I sit down with all parties involved at a financial institution that works for both buyer and seller the bank verifies that any cashier checks or funds transfers and the title are good funds go to the seller the title and a bill of sale goes to the buyer and we re done.Regarding this rig it is a 2008 KZ 36SKB that my customer stated was 38ft and rvguide.com does as well so the 36SKB may just refer to 36 of living area. Seller stated that he purchased the trailer from a bank auction knowing the people that had purchased it and then promptly couldn t make the payments when the economy went south in 2008. Seller told me he thought original retail on this trailer was 150 000 but... rvguide.com states original MSRP was 91 140. However seller is Canadian maybe the values between Canadian U.S. dollar were different when he acquired the trailer.Trailer is titled and licensed for B.C. Canada but is located at an RV park in Whatcom County Washington south of the Canadian border. A lot of Canadians keep trailers at rv parks in Whatcom County and this unit is a good example. When I asked the seller how many trips they ve taken in the trailer he laughed and said One . Basically the seller parked it at the rv park when he got the rig and they use it on the odd weekend or holiday with family. So far the few times I ve helped someone sell a Canadian title licensed rig it s been a Canadian who bought it. I ve got it on my list to call up Northwest Licensing ( northwestlicensing.com ) 360-756-9821 on Monday to see what the options are for U.S. buyers and if you want an answer directly certainly feel free to contact them at the number above. ADDENDUM I spoke to the folks at Northwest Licensing they stated that the rig would have to be imported which means the buyer will have to haul it up to the border patrol show them the paperwork on it let them inspect it to make sure the lights work and it s in one piece and then the border patrol will give you some paperwork that can be taken to your local licensing office so that a washington state vehicle title can be issued. I ve used Northwest Licensing over the years for various personal vehicle title transfers (I used to rebuild jeeps) and I ve found them to be much more informative than some high school kid working the licensing counter at a grocery store.I was originally contracted to winterize the plumbing in the rig and to install a weather cover over the trailer. I noticed there wasn t really any dust in the cargo bins when I was doing this and according to the customer they just hardly ever used it which is why he s selling it. Overall trailer is clean as a whistle and from a condition standpoint looks like someone just parked it in a showroom. Fridge wasn t even dirty which is uncommon in my experience. What is good about the occasional use is that rv refridgerators and some of the other appliances can develop problems if they aren t used for years at a time so the fact that these folks were cranking everything up every few months is a good thing.Looks like roof has original sealant and it looked fine. Another 3 or 4 years it ll probably be time for a seam strip and reseal. Interior looks just like it s sitting in a showroom. Only fault I m aware of is that the surround sound receiver is gone apparently a grandkid cranked up the volume all the way and fried the thing and the seller asked me to come up with some options for replacement but at this time there is no receiver in it although the dvd player flatscreen in the living room and bedroom are all there.Regarding the add-ons those 5th Airborne air ride pin boxes can be 1000 installed those Norcold 1200 series side by side refridgerators are usually only seen in big diesel pusher motorhomes both patio awnings are electric which makes them not only a breeze to use but to work on if they have problems and they can be 1200 each installed the double stack Splendide washer dryer setup is a bit less than 2000 and the trailer cover is another 600 or so. If it was my rig I would have asked more for it.The seller didn t want to spring for a PDI (pre-delivery inspection) but I do offer that service as well. If you are interested in this rig and would like an independent inspection direct from me I perform a PDI that involves my own 250 point inspection list and what you receive is a report that covers problems found pictures of the issues when possible an estimate for repair of each issue and parts sources and pricing when available. I charge 320 for this service. Incidentally if I find issues that keep you from wanting to purchase the rig and the seller wants to know what I found he has to pay the same for his copy of the PDI. As far as any conflict of interest between representing the rig for sale vs performing a PDI my name is worth way more than what I might make selling the odd rv Also on these newer park rigs like this most of the time I find a few bad light bulbs deep cycle batteries that might be on the way out and minor sealant problems. If someone had been running the wheels of this thing traveling it might be worth having a PDI done but sitting here the way it has been and looking fairly unused it probably isn t necessary. If you are looking for a 91 000 5th wheel essentially half off and no discernable wear and tear on it that has been used very little this could be the rig for you Selling price 45 500.So that s what I know about it original specs can be found here www.rvguide.com specs kz fifth-wheel 2008 escalade 36-skb.html per rvguide.com and if you have any other questions feel free to contact me.
