Degree and a Felony

Hello. My name is Jamica Bonner and I am a convicted felon. I simply want that out the way so that we can fully understand that i am not here to lie to anyone. My felony dates back to January 2001. Thirteen (13) years ago. And i am still being subjected to its stigma. Now with that being said let me tell you the GOOD side of things. Along with the stigma of the felony i also am a college graduate. Attended a 4-year accredited university with a degree in Business Management. To add to that already great achievement i too pursued a Masters degree in International Business with a concentration in Marketing. I was able to obtain it from an accredited university as well AFTER my felony conviction. 3.4 gpa Yet with all that high achievement no one seems to want to give a young man like myself an honest chance at working a decent job. I have had to take jobs that would seem a lil less than . My resume is always looked upon favorably but once the question of felonies come up it is always a doubt in the mind of the one offering the job position. Frustrating. I know that not only am i capable of doing what it takes to succedd at the endeavour one chance would allow the company to see that i would truly be a valuable asset. Opportunity is what sets me apart from achieving and making a difference. All i m asking for is for someone to simply read this and understand where i am coming from. I always joke with my family that it s going to take me getting my own business to overcome this unfortunate situation or win the lottery. But actually it is simpler than that.
