This recruitment will establish a list for the purpose of filling current and future seasonal vacancies in South Lake Tahoe. We currently have the following vacancies Five (5) Extra Help Seasonal vacancies for the Maintenance and Operations Division of the Transportation Department located in South Lake Tahoe CA. Extra help vacancies are made to maintain adequate coverage of work for short periods of time at frequent intervals where employment is of a recurrent nature depending on the needs of the Agency work may be seasonal on-call and or for a limited duration. The Ideal candidate will be self-motivated possess a strong work ethic be a proficient equipment operator and be able to recognize potential hazards while operating equipment. Will possess a valid commercial driver s license with no restrictions. THE COUNTY HAS PROVIDED HOUSING IN SOUTH LAKE TAHOE FOR OUT OF AREA EMPLOYEE USE DURING WORK DAYS This recruitment will be continuous with the following cut-off dates August 29 2018 September 19 2018 October 10 2018 Interviews will be held Week of September 4th Week of September 24th Week of October 15th Must possess a valid Commercial Class B driver s license.A current DMV printout must be attached to your on-line application.Must be willing to work nights weekends and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions.
