monoclemagazine.webs.com Submission guidelines Submissions are accepted yearlong with the exception of a break during December-- although the magazine does publish an anthology during this time-- that picks up on January 2nd. At this time there is no fee for submissions. Send all work to quirksubmissions(at)gmail.com We will respond at varience but never longer than four weeks. Remember the number. Please refrain from submitting works previously publsihed in another anthology. You retain full copyright of your work-- we only circulate it. Original characters. No fanfiction. We are an absurdist fiction magazine and thus publish works in that genre. If your characters embark on a journey to exact their purpose in life and find it -- we don t want them. Reasoning optional. Satire By all means. Poetry No minimum of lines but cap it off at seventy. Any style but do remember our niche is not necessarily haikus reminiscing on summer days. Short stories 4000 words maximum. If it s any higher there better be a viable reason. It better be the best short story ever written. It better make us cry. Long stories (serialized novels) Send us a query letter and we ll tell you if interested. Chapter or excerpt publsihed alongside other submissions monthly untile published in its entirety.
