Refurbished original (not a reproduction) old Hard Wood Boat Wheel. It was likely built in the mid-1900 s by Pacemaker Boat Company. based in New Jersey.. This wheel measures 22 in overall diameter with six 3 handles one of which has three groves to indicate the centered rudder position. The 3 aluminums hub has a 7 16 shaft hole (with keyway) and an attached 3 hub cap that appears to be cast aluminum. The traditional Pacemaker script name is raised in the center of the cap. Pacemaker Boat Company was formed in 1949 and continued to build boats until 1980. This nautical artifact is in excellent condition and a fine example of U.S. maritime history.
