Annually volunteers help Ozarks Food Harvest distribute more than 10 million meals across the Ozarks. Generous volunteers like YOU keep food donations moving through The Food Bank and into the hands of families children and seniors. One volunteer session helps The Food Bank provide more than 300 meals for our neighbors in need. Whether you can give a few hours monthly or commit to a weekly schedule your gift of time helps Transform Hunger into Hope for children families and seniors. OFH Volunteer Center - Weekday Sessions Tuesday Friday 9 am - 12 pm or Tuesday- Thursday 1 - 4 pm Weekday volunteers process thousands of pounds of food donations each week for distribution. These Sort & Repack projects involve sorting like items checking expiration dates & package integrity and repacking for distribution. Projects are scheduled according to The Food Bank s incoming donations and distribution needs. Volunteers must be ages 14 . Please inquire about opportunities for younger volunteers OFH Volunteer Center - Evening & Weekend Opportunities Tuesday and Thursday Evening 6 - 9 pm (up to 20 volunteers per session) Saturday 9 am - 12 pm and 1 4 pm (Up to 40 volunteers per session) In addition to donation inspection volunteers assist with assembly of Weekend Backpacks for at risk elementary students (more than 6 000 distributed monthly) or Senior Food Boxes for low income seniors (more than 2 000 distributed monthly). Projects are planned based upon distribution needs OFH cannot accept request for specific projects. Crimson House Distribution - 2nd and 4th Tuesday between 10 30 5 00 pm Volunteers are needed to assist with food distribution near Commercial Street twice a month. Volunteers help unload delivery truck assemble donation boxes and assist clients with donations. This is an important distribution for our community. Volunteers willing to set a recurring schedule are a great help to ensuring all clients seeking assistance are served. Groups and individuals are welcome.
