Value Added & Layup Fabricator Thank you for your interest in the Value Added & Layup Fabricator position. This is an entry level position in a new family-owned company. Starting pay is 10.00 an hour with ample opportunity to move up. Business is booming and we need to hire immediately. We are looking for an associate that is willing to start from the bottom and grow as a valued member of our team. During the first three months of employment management will be evaluating new employee work ethic and an employee may become eligible for a raise at this time. Kerr Panel Manufacturing has a 60 day probationary period for all new employees. During this 60 day period you are expected to be evaluating your desire to accept permanent employment with KPM. KPM will also be evaluating you to see if we believe you are a good fit for permanent employment. During this 60 day probationary period you may quit without cause if you wish to do so. Likewise KPM may dismiss you without cause during this period of time. During the probationary period new employees are not eligible for holiday pay nor any benefits. After this 60 day probationary period if you are offered and accept permanent employment you will begin to be eligible for our insurance holiday pay and you will begin to accrue paid time off. We can currently build up to 10 x 40 panels and have the capability to customize panels using routing machining edge-filling and inserts for many varieties of applications including marine aerospace and other general manufacturing. Job Title & Summary Value Added & Layup Fabricator- Responsibilities include but are not limited to producing parts for specification using specialized equipment glue rollers vacuum bagging materials hand tools and detailed manual labor. Key Areas of Responsibility Support of projects throughout the assembly process using knowledge of fabrication methods. Consult with supervisory personnel in order to exchange technical information and to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to perform tasks. Study sample panels drawings engineering information and blueprints in order to determine processes of operations needed to perform fabrication. Select appropriate tools in preparation of fabrications. Set-up operate and maintain equipment machines and hydraulic and manual tools to perform precise operations. Monitor equipment during processing. Department & Supervisor The Value Added & Layup Fabricator is an essential member of our Production Team and reports directly to the Production Manager.
